ABSTRACT
The article provides information about Laurence Olivier Awards. It states that the screen actor Nathan Lane can now add a Laurence Olivier Award for best actor in a musical to his Tony Award for playing Max Bialystock in "The Producers," a role he took over in the London production when actor Richard Dreyfuss withdrew a week before previews began last October. At the awards ceremony, held on February 20 at the London Hilton, Park Lane, Lane began his acceptance speech by thanking Dreyfuss. The show also beat out its competitors, "Mary Poppins" and "The Woman in White," to take the award for best new musical.
