The article cites that latex and visco-elastic dominated the bed sector but manufacturers are struggling to protect prices from the effects of high raw material costs. If there was any confusion as to what the trend in beds would be this year, The Furniture Show was quick to dispel that. The traditional latex company, Dunlopillo Ltd., that is taking the most delight in the upturn in latex's popularity. However, as the bed industry suffers under the cloud of increased raw material costs, where it turns to dodge these costs is not an easy solution. Most companies at the show were admitting that they have absorbed the lion's share of the increases but the costs are now being passed along to the retailer.
