The article reports that plan of Ikea Home Furnishings to rollout its kitchen fitting service to Yorkshire, England has hit a problem--it cannot find a firm to fit them, despite the contract being worth up to pound 1m a year. A third of consumers buying an Ikea kitchen would agree to have it installed through the chain if the facility was available. Richard Mabbett, Ikea Leeds project coordinator said that it is a great opportunity for one or two local firms to build for the future. The Leeds store expects to generate pound 25,000-worth of fittings a week. Since the installation service began at Warrington and Cardiff, kitchen sales have increased.
