The article reports that a furniture retailer in Eastbourne is in danger of losing a third of sales if an application for double yellow lines opposite its store is accepted. Chris Moffet, Perfect Nights Managing Director, has managed to get 560 signatures from customers and fellow retailers in a bid to halt an application by the Royal Hippodrome theatre, which has requested the parking restrictions. The theatre claimed it needed the 24 hour parking ban during its summer open season between April and October to allow space for coaches, although Moffet claimed such a move would ruin trade.
