ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the television coverage given by "CBS Evening News" to Reverend Jesse Jackson's attack. It pointed out the lesson demonstrated by Spiro Agnew, that the one sure way for a second-level public figure to get exposure via the news media is to attack them, preferably by name.
