Explores the use of lab-on-valve mesofluidic analytical system (LOV-MFAS) to solve the mismatch between processed volumes on the world and chip scales. Role of flow injection and sequential injection analysis in the miniaturization and automation of on-line sample pretreatment; Advantage of the use of micro sequential injection lab-on-valve system in the down scaling of fluidic handling; Applications of the LOV system for in-valve microminiaturized fluidic and micro carrier bead handling; Potential use of the LOV-MFAS in micro-scale sample pretreatment.
