This article comments on the move of General Motors to enlists celebrities to critique new Cadillac Escalade. Eighteen months ago on a Hollywood sound stage, General Motors hosted a hush-hush meeting for 35 of the biggest names in entertainment. These tastemakers had gathered to see the 2007 Cadillac Escalade, which debuts next January. Attending the Hollywood sessions were GM design chief Ed Welburn, Cadillac Vehicle Line Director Gary White, Cadillac Marketing General Manager Mark LaNeve, Escalade Marketing Director Kim McGill, Spenchian and the Escalade's design directors. Each VIP saw the Cadillac Sixteen concept sedan, followed by the current Escalade.
