The article informs that upsized private placement gets tightest spread in the history of Ireland. Just when it seemed spreads could not contract a single basis point tighter, they have. In the private placement market, at least, water can still be squeezed out of stone. Last week, Ireland's Kingspan Securities Ltd., a subsidiary of Kingspan Group Pic, a financial firm, circled up a private senior note placement that landed the tightest spreads seen to date for an issuer from that country, which was quite a feat, especially for a first-time issuer. The transaction was upsized to $200 million. The deal carried prices commonly associated with higher credits, an indication of today's market realities.
