ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a fight between 22-year-old New Mexico State University student Katie Sepich and her boyfriend. August 30, 2003, started out great for 22-year-old New Mexico State University student Katie Sepich. It was the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, and Katie, a strong student who was two weeks info her master's degree in business, spent the morning with her boyfriend of seven months, Joe Bischoff. Joe took Katie shopping and splurged on a pretty blue topaz ring she'd been eyeing at a local department store. Later that afternoon, Katie headed off to her waitressing job at a popular Mexican restaurant in Las Cruces, where loyal customers frequently waited an extra 20 minutes to be seated in the section serviced by the outgoing brunette.
