ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Conference Board said last week it is cooperating with an unnamed U.S. federal regulatory agency regarding its staff and information on individuals from entities other than the board who have access to its consumer confidence index prior to its public release. The board said that during the process of their cooperation with the agency, they discovered that one of their staff did not follow some of their stated protocols and procedures with respect to the distribution of the Consumer Confidence Index to the media.
