ABSTRACT
The article informs that Eric Coble's sly comedy "Bright Ideas," tackling parental angst and the competitive nature of preschool admissions, is set for its West Coast premiere on February 19 on the Laguna Playhouse stage. Barnicle and Executive Director Richard Stein have excelled in revitalizing the historic theatre and attracting a myriad of new artists to their lively, funky Laguna Canyon home. During his tenure since 1991, Barnicle has directed a number of world premieres and three U.S. premieres by Ireland's Bernard Farrel.
