The article focuses on the aspect of design of furniture made by furniture manufacturer Label. Furniture designer Gerald van den Berg owns the company. Berg has managed to balance a love of design with the development of his business. He is now looking forward to having another designer to share the workload. Berg dislikes how much some designers rely on the past for inspiration and believes the competitive nature of the furniture industry is impacting innovative designs.
