ABSTRACT
This article reports that celebrating its 10th anniversary, biannual Paris show Maison et Objet hosted more than 434 furniture exhibitors, reflecting its ambition to eclipse rival furniture event Salon du Meuble. The show held at Parc des Expositions, from January 26, 2005 to February 1, 2005. The number of participating exhibitors in the show has grown from 1,300 in 1995 to 2,780 in 2005. Besides, having started with 35,000 square meter, the floor space increased to 107,510 square meter. Etienne Cochet, managing director Maison et Objet, stated that the integration of design and decoration has been a critical factor in event's growth.
