Focuses on the invention of the Restored Color Image (RCI) process for restoring faded color negatives by visual effects veteran Peter Kuran who produced, directed and release a documentary on the history of the atomic bomb, "Trinity and Beyond," movie in 1995. Purpose of Kuran in developing RCI; Action of Kuran to take his documentary to high-definition HD for an upcoming DVD rerelease and for possible future HD television broadcast; Honor of Kuran of a particular section of the film that relied heavily on the RCI process, featuring color archival footage using HD transfer; Improvement on faded color negative using the RCI process.
