ABSTRACT
This article shares the author's thoughts on the concept of "digital power." The author relates that the term digital power is ambiguous because it represents a collection of functions. The digital configuration and monitoring functions have been around for a while. Microcontroller supervision of power is also somewhat common. The said functions have been done digitally before, but now it is possible to implement them for about the same cost as analog solutions.
