ABSTRACT
The article presents news related to developments in renewable energy sector. A panel of state lawmakers has agreed to study the potential for renewable energy in Virginia if money can be found to pay for the work. Foster Wheeler North America has been awarded a contract valued in excess of $18 million by SNC-Lavalin Power of Redmond, Washington for the first large-scale poultry litter biomass plant in the U.S. Iberdrola is to continue investing in Mexico, highlighting that it plans to plough $1.75 billion into the country for the construction of new electricity generation plants.
