ABSTRACT
The article discusses the efforts of Judith Corbett, a citizen of Davis in California in city planning that have won her American Planning Association's 2005 Distinguished Leadership Award for a Citizen Planner. ad. Her work has significantly advanced efforts to create livable, sustainable communities. The principles and subsequent related documents made by her, provided specific recommendations on how to develop or redevelop communities and regions more sustainably, and have since been incorporated into many city plans.
