West Thurrock

The article focuses on furniture retail store and furniture trade in west Thurrock, England. West Thurrock has a few architectural sites that can warm the cockles, although it's rather telling that one of its more famous buildings, Saint Clement's church, was chosen as the location for the lone funeral in Four Weddings and a Funeral. That's how charismatic the place can be on a dull day. But, the area has borne witness to some of the more famous and influential moments in British history. Today, however, much of west Thurrock is just motorways and car parks, with very little in the way of geographical landmarks to shelter a lone pedestrian from a persistent wind. But among this sea of roaring traffic and boy racers, who drive around with the malice of the invincible Spanish galleons, lies an archipelago of retail islands so rich in treasures that even Sir Francis Drake would cut short his bowls match to have look at.
