S&P Lowers Louisiana Hospital to A-Plus

The article reports that Standard & Poor's Corp. said it lowered its underlying rating to A-plus from AA-minus on the Louisiana Public Facilities Authority's outstanding bonds issued for Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System Inc., a four-hospital system in the state. The outlook is stable. Standard & Poor's credit analyst Kenneth Rodgers said that the lower rating incorporates changing market dynamics, with the rise of specialty hospital competition in all three of the system's markets contributing lo sharp volume declines.
