ABSTRACT
The article reports that Royal Velvet's owner and licensees pulled back the curtain on the brand's inaugural bedding line and step-up bath program. Consumer research shows that Royal Velvet still has high name-recognition, according to Rick Platt, managing director for brand development at Official Pillowtex LLC, which owns the Royal Velvet brand along with other assets acquired from the former Pillowtex Inc. Royal Velvet Signature is a 350-count, 100 percent pima sheet with a herringbone design woven on a dobby loom.
