ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the bestsellers of various publishing house in the year-end 2004. It is reported that Simon & Schuster Inc., came in fourth, with four titles on the lists for a combined 50 weeks. Apart from its success with a new imprint and "He's Just Not That Into You," the publisher had a blast from the past with Steven Covey's sequel to his legendary bestseller, "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People." "The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness" was released in the fall with a first printing of 350,000 copies. Penguin Group USA didn't have any of its advice/misc. titles hit No.l on either the hardcover or paperback list in 2004, but the publisher is the No. 5 company in BPR's analysis, with four titles spending a combined 15 weeks on the lists.
