Reader's Digest Trade Book Sales Up 11% In Second Quarter

The article reports that Reader's Digest's Inc. comparatively small trade books division was one of the bright spots of the second quarter of fiscal 2005 for a company still struggling with lower earnings, adjustments from a two-year old turnaround initiative and different accounting methods. Trade books posted $10 million in revenue for the second quarter, ended December 31, up 11% from the same quarter last year, according to BPR estimates. Total revenues for Q2 2005 were $798 million, a slight increase from Q2 2004 revenues of $796 million.
