ABSTRACT
The article reports on the activities of the municipal bond market. The market moved higher as it tried to catch up with treasuries, which rallied on the back of a weaker-than-expected January 2005 non-farm payrolls report that reinforced expectations of rate hikes. Demand drove bond prices higher and yields edged down at least four and five basis points in the serial range and as much as eight and 10 basis points on the long end.
