ABSTRACT
The article reports on the activities of the bond market in Long Beach, California. The Long Beach Bond Finance Authority has prepared a complex US$192 million transaction that rolls together debt from seven different entities, while the Long Beach Harbor Department has planned to sell up to US$265 million of refunding bonds. The Bond Finance Authority's transaction combines debt from five redevelopment areas, the city's low-income housing program, and the city gas utility.
