ABSTRACT
The article discusses the core values of the U.S. Navy, honor, courage and commitment. If these are in fact core values, they are meant to be fundamental and one ought to know what these words represent. The question becomes interesting when one considers actually displaying the core values, or "walking the walk." It is easy to be committed to what you believe when the stakes are not quite so high, when the pressure is a bit less intense. Doubtless there were some wonderful mission statements and core values on the walls at Enron Corp. and Arthur Andersen LLP.
