This article reports that Fifth Third Securities Inc. expanded its banking presence in Ohio recently by hiring a handful of local veterans--some of whom defied a tradition among bankers at Seasongood & Mayer by leaving before retirement. Ohio regular Andrew Brossart left Seasongood & Mayer to work with Fifth Third starting this week. Brossart was among a handful to leave Seasongood recently--marking the first time bankers have left the firm other than through retirement, said Gordon Reis, a managing principal in the firm.
