The article focuses on the joint venture between EarthLink Inc. with South Korea's SK Telecom Co. Ltd. for which EarthLink tapped the services of PGP Capital Advisors LLC, an investment banking start-up that specializes in middle-market and cross-cultural deals. PGP helped EarthLink by providing background on how Korean corporate firms are set up, specifically with regard to its partner, SK Telecom. They also helped to understand how to interpret certain actions and reactions in negotiations, in addition to providing straight investment banking technical expertise.
