ABSTRACT
The article reports that former Bear Stearns Cos. Inc., banker Larry Kohn will come out of a brief retirement to join Dallas-based First Southwest Co., as the head of the firm's capital market group. Kohn will be responsible for First Southwest's fixed income and equity sales and trading divisions, along with the firm's high-net-worth client group. In October 2004, Kohn retired from Bear Stearns, where he was a senior managing director in the Dallas office. Prior to Bear Steams, Kohn had worked for 12 years in the banking and securities industries, first with Mercantile National Bank of Dallas, and later with Interfirst Bank of Dallas.
