This article reports that the majority of winners of the third annual Interior Innovation awards presented at the IMM show held in Cologne from January 17-23, reflected playful approaches to furniture design and functionality. Best Item went to Ligne Roset for its Facett upholstery collection designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and catering to the home entertainment market. MDF Italia walked away with Best System award for its sleek ElevenFive shelf designed to accommodate plasma TVs and storage needs. Ron Arad's Big E chair for Moroso featured flower-like chairs with a lacquer finish, won Best Product award.
