This article reports that the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) kicked off its quest for five new members for its 15-member board, who will each serve three-year terms beginning October 1, 2005, the start of the MSRB's next fiscal year. The board is equally divided between representatives of securities firms, bank dealers, and the public, with one third of the members leaving the board every year. In addition, the person recommending the candidate must have determined that the candidate would be willing to serve on the board, the MSRB said.
