ABSTRACT
The article reports that Boston, Massachusetts-based Corby Capital Markets Inc., a full service broker dealer, has opened an office in Southport, Connecticut. The branch will be managed by 20-year fixed-income veteran, Jonathan R. Lake, managing director, who was recently hired by the firm. Lake noted in an interview yesterday that the firm expects to hire a staff of nine or 10 people, of which roughly half would be dedicated to the tax-exempt market. Lake noted that the Southport area consists of buyers with strong demand for tax-exempt securities.
