ABSTRACT
The article reports that the convoy of working time laws rolls on apace with new rules for road transport workers. Commercial drivers and crew are one of the fast groups of workers to receive working time protection in Great Britain. At first glance, the Road Transport Directive may appear to be of little relevance to businesses other than those operating in the road transport sector. But the new working time rules, which implement the Road Transport Directive into British law will, in fact, with some exceptions apply to any worker in a vehicle that is required by EU rules to have a tachograph. INSET: Look ahead.
