ABSTRACT
This article presents information on the developments in the publishing trade. Anne Schwartz is rejoining Random House Children's Books on Feb. 7 to head a new imprint after a decade leading children's picture book-focused Anne Schwartz Books at Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing. Schwartz will be reporting directly to Chip Gibson, the president of the Random House Children's Books. Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, which published 700 books in 2004, made another personnel shift by naming Emma Dryden vice president, associate publisher of Atheneum Books for Young Readers. The Anne Schwartz imprint had been a part of that unit.
