ABSTRACT
The article provides information on VoiceCon 2005, annual enterprise voice and Internet protocol (IP)-technology conference. The author says that during 2005 enterprises will migrate to IP-telephony and convergence at a fast pace. That's why VoiceCon 2005, which will convene from February 7-10, 2005, in Orlando, Florida, is so important. VoiceCon 2005 will help the participants in providing the options to help in evaluation of the trade-offs during the corporate network transitions from traditional, circuit-switched voice systems and services, to those based on IP. The VoiceCon 2005 tutorials won't be academic discussions of new technologies. Instead, they're action oriented-how to choose from among all the IP-private branch exchanges in the marketplace, how to secure network, how to structure the implementation and cutover process, how to apply quality of service in enterprise networks. At VoiceCon 2005, customers take center stage. Two leading enterprise network executives will be featured keynote speakers, Craig Hinkley, senior vice-president, Network Architecture & Strategic Directions for Bank of America and Allan Rubin, manager of Network Engineering for Delta Air Lines.
