Bass Player;Feb2005, Vol. 16 Issue 2, p31
This article focuses on the musician, John Stirratt. He plays half the time with his fingers, the other half with a heavygauge Planet waves pick. When he's playing fingerstyle, he keeps the pick tucked under his pinkie and ring fingers so it's easy to access. For Stirratt, Paul McCartney is one of the greatest bass players of all time. If one listen to what he was tracking live in the studio, it's unbelievable. With his tone and musicality, he was a huge influence.
