ABSTRACT
This article provides information on the LV-7565 multi-media projector developed by Canon. It possesses four lenses, including an ultra-far-focus zoom lens, all quickly changed on a bayonet mount mechanism. Progressive circuitry gives the model very high image quality, including superior reproduction of High Definition input. Image quality is further assisted by complementing true XGA resolution with 1000:1 contrast. In low light or darkened room conditions, areas in the projected image that should be jet-black can be tainted with light grey if the lamp is too bright. An Auto Image Mode automatically compensates for this effect by measuring ambient light and adjusting lamp output accordingly for perfectly balanced brightness in constantly changing conditions. The projector also correctly projects the detail of high vision signals that cannot be handled with projectors using conventional IP conversion. 3D digital noise reduction eliminates on-screen scattering by removing excess brightness noise and colour noise found in some picture signals. To prevent clarity reduction that can occur when contour correction is applied indiscriminately, input signal components are individually analysed and processed accordingly with the Intelligent Digital Sharpness function.
