ABSTRACT
The article reports that from April 23, 1564, in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. a total of 38 (10 tragedies, 10 histories, and 18 comedies were shown. The statistics also reflect approximate number of words Shakespeare invented, price of the cheapest theater ticket in Shakespeare's time and hours it takes to read the 936,443 words in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, reading at a rate of 60 words per minute. Percentage of U.S. high schools that require the study of Shakespeare are also mentioned.
