ABSTRACT
This article reports that the periodical's Crain's list of Big Deals comprises 25 significant corporate transactions ranked by deal value that were either announced or closed in 2004. While not comprehensive, this list represents a sampling of the biggest mergers and acquisitions in which Chicago, Illinois lawyers played a prominent role. Usually, but not always, that means a local attorney served as the lead adviser for the buyer or seller.
