The article reports that FTN Financial, the capital markets division of First Horizon National corp., completed its acquisition of the assets and operations of the fixed-income business of Spear Leeds & Kellog LP a division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. FTN said the acquisition resulted in a larger customer base for its sale of municipal Securities, boosting its institutional customers to 5,000 from 3,500. The completion of the acquisition of SLK's fixed-income business greatly enhances our powerful strategic platform and increases our size and scale, solidifying FTN Financial's position among the indusuy leaders.
