The article reports that the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board clarified several trade reporting issues for dealers faced with the fast-approaching January 31, 2005, startup date for the new real-time transaction reporting system. Under that system, dealers will have to report prices and other trade data within 15 minutes of when trades are executed. The notice is one of a series of reminders and clarifications the board has been issuing to dealers in recent weeks to help ensure that they comply with the rules so the system starts up without any significant problems.
