ABSTRACT
The article reports that Random House, the number 3 publisher in the journal's last analysis of the New York Times children's lists has edged Scholastic Inc. to take the number 2 spot for the week ending December 26. For the week ending November 14, both Scholastic and Random House had 24 titles on the lists, but Random House had 289 weeks to Scholastic's 290. For the week ending December 26, Random House has 26 bestsellers on the children's lists for a combined 314 weeks, while Scholastic's 25 titles have been on the list 312 weeks.
