ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's experience on his visits to various library buildings during the past few weeks, where passionate library folks are building communities, building new library workers and building programs, plans and visions. The author states that in October, Fiona Black, Director of the School of Library and Information Studies, Faculty of Management in Dalhousie, Halifax, Nova Scotia, invited the author to be the visitor-in-residence there. The author managed to celebrate Dalhousie's Open House and Canadian Library Week simultaneously. The author and Ian Wilson, Librarian and Archivist of Canada addressed a Dalhousie theme, "Inspiring Learning." They talked specifically about libraries' roles in learning and the future of libraries generally.
