ABSTRACT
The article discusses issues related to over-storing which is based on regional and location specific characteristics. It is important for malls or shopping centers to attract stores and restaurants that bring people to the center like the Cheesecake Factory, where customers are willing to wait an hour to an hour and a half for a table. Shopping malls have changed their focus to lifestyle centers and/or power centers with big box stores. A lifestyle center is an outdoor traditional streetscape layout with sit-down restaurants and a conglomeration of retailers that are more upscale.
