The article comments on the use of sound effects in the motion picture "Christmas With the Kranks." Sleigh bells, an accordion and a theremin and a 100-piece orchestra are some of the ingredients for film composer John Debney's latest release, "Christmas With the Kranks." Like most of the comedies, the scores feature an additional mix of unusual instruments. In fact, it's a rather eclectic blend of everything. Tubas and piccolo solos have been widely used. And lots of percussion with crotales, glockenspiel and celeste has been played to give it a nice Christmas-like feel.
