The article marks the first installment of the six-part "Recording the Band" series by technical editor Kevin Becka. It shares insights on all of the steps for capturing a great kit sound--from instrument preparation to the final mix. It further suggests that no weak link in this sequence should be left, as it would alter the outcome. So, it's important to choose the moves wisely to get an ideal sound after recording.
