ABSTRACT
This article reports that as part of the decades-long battle between Nestle Corp., and breastmilk advocacy groups, on November 3, 2004, Baby Milk Action and Nestle held a debate at Edinburgh University, in Scotland. At a meeting following the debate, 500 Edinburgh students voted overwhelmingly to have their Student Association continue to support the international boycott of Nestle until the corporation changes the way it markets baby food in developing countries. At the debate, Nestle's head of corporate affairs, Hilary Parsons, stated that Nestle disagrees with Baby Milk Action's interpretation of the WHA marketing requirements for baby foods.
