ABSTRACT
The article speculates the financial performance of Leggett & Platt Inc. for the fourth-quarter of 2004-2005. Largely because of weak sales of mattress innersprings, Leggett & Platt expects that the fourth-quarter earnings will be lower than the previous prediction of 31 to 36 cents per share. For account, in the U.S., innerspring unit sales in the first two months of the fourth quarter were down 10% from the same period last year.
