ABSTRACT
The article reports that interim finance director Ray Zies of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has resigned to become controller of Atlanta city. The move reunites Zies and Janice Davis, who resigned as Philadelphia's finance director this summer. Davis left to become Atlanta's finance director. Philadelphia Mayor John Street named Zies to replace Davis on an interim basis in August, 2004. Zies joined Street's administration three years after leaving the Dallas Independent School District. Zies said that he was offered the position of finance director on a permanent basis but turned it down.
