ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Jenks, Oklahoma, public school trustees who set a March 1, 2005 election date for a three-part $14.9 million general obligation bond package. The decision was taken just a week after losing a bond election in which more than 58% of the voters supported a two-pan $15.25 million proposal. The district south of Tulsa, officially known as Tulsa County Independent School District No. 5. had posted 40 successful general obligation bond elections over a five-year period before the failure on December 14, 2005.
