ABSTRACT
This article presents information on lawyers Patrick Bergot and his wife who changed their jobs and started a business. Their story was filmed for channel 4. He was a senior assistant in the employment department at Herbert Smith. His wife Colette was a senior assistant in Thomas Eggar's pensions department. Many people who do this sort of thing hate their jobs and are desperate to quit the rat race, explains Patrick. But they both really enjoyed their jobs. Both had always dreamt of owning a restaurant and so they started looking at locations. Following an extended period of working longer than normal hours, a holiday abroad and the birth of their second child, they wondered whether their restaurant could be in France, They saw Chateau de Ribagnac quite by chance. It was breathtakingly beautiful and they both fell instantly in love with it.
